About this course An interactive three hour workshop, via zoom, beginning at 10.00am and finishing at 1.00pm. This workshop is for practitioners who want to learn and develop knowledge of the rights people have who are facing homelessness, and the duty of the local authority towards them. The workshop will cover: • Homeless applications • Duty to accommodate • Homeless enquiries including the recent change to rules regarding local connection • Housing support • Decisions • Reviews The outcome is for practitioners to understand and be able to confidently explain the full duties of a local authority to a homeless applicant. The workshop will be interactive and mostly case study led. The emphasis is on case study participation, informal discussion and Q&A facilitated by the trainer, Pauline Hay. 16 seats available.
